Six month update...

I say this virtually in every post I've made in the past year (mainly because they've been so sparatic in the past year), but it's amazing how quickly the time has gone; I really can't believe that it's already August, approaching the day I will turn another year older closer to middle age (for those of you remotely interested in the day I came into existence the day equals half of the number of months August represents).

So, what has happened in the past six months; started working part-time as an editorial researcher for Business in Vancouver newspaper (http://www.biv.com), became fulltime in May in the middle of all the big Top 100 B.C. companies lists (which I am only now finishing). Have participated in and/or organized at least one sustainability project/activity since March (the report of which is in the July 2006 issue of SGI Quarterly at http://www.sgi.org), will have attended two weddings by the end of the week (and taken photos and helped out in the preparations for both), was a participant in the World Urban Forum's roundtable on Spirituality and Sustainability--the first of its kind at a UN Habitat event; networked with a few youth sustainability organizations, interfaith groups and other religious leaders, while also playing a role in the redevelopment of a new SGI Canada magazine, and reorganization within SGI Canada. I've taken quite a lot of photos recently, many of which can be found at my flickr site: http://www.flickr.com/photos/richardchu/

I wonder if it's soon time for me to take a long-needed vacation and hibernate for a while, but not anytime soon, perhaps. The heavenly deities in the universe know I need one.
